Do I need to register to purchase? How do I do that?
No, it is not necessary to register in order to make a purchase.  If you do register, it can make it easier to track your order.  When you register with Overdrive Electronics, you are providing us with your information so you can access specific features and services of our website. To create an account, simple go to Signup page and create a personalized user name and password.

With an Overdrive Electronics account you can

    * Create your wish list and let your friends and family know what you are hoping for
    * Check order status and track your shipments
    * Save and update your billing, shipping and password information


How do I update my account?
To update your account information, simply Log In to your account with your user name and current password, and click the Edit Billing/Shipping Information link or the Change Password link on your account page.


The product I purchased is not working.  How do I contact a technician?
Unfortunately, Overdrive Electronics does not provide technical support. In most cases, the manufacturer of your item will offer assistance. If you have difficulty finding preexisting answers through FAQs or blogs, you may want to locate a forum group related to your topic. Many forum posters are happy to share their experiences and expertise when it comes to technology, as long as you have looked to see if the information has already been posted.


Returns & Refunds
Ovedrive Electronics does have a 30-Day return policy on all goods sold.  Please see our Returns page for full details.  Refunds are issued 5-10 days after the receipt of the damaged or unwanted product.  This time may take longer if items are missing from the package.


Is it mandatory to have an RMA number in order to return a product? How do I get one?
All returns, replacements, and order to be returned must be accompanied by a return merchandise authorization number. For Overdrive Electronics to issue an RMA for your return, you must follow the Return Policy for your item.


Can I substitute my order item for something else?
Overdrive Electronics does not accept substitutions of any kind. If you need to change your order once it has been submitted, you must cancel your order before it has been processed and place a new order for the item you wish to purchase.


What address should I send my return to?
All orders must be issued an RMA number before return. Please do not ship your returns to our corporate office as they will not be accepted.  View our Return Policy for full details.


UPS has returned my order to you. What happens now?
If UPS could not deliver to the address you provided, the return is viewed as an order refusal and a return-stocking fee will be charged to your account. If you would like to have your order reshipped, please make any revisions necessary to your shipping address. You will receive an email shortly detailing your total restocking fee charge, and the cost of reshipment. Track your shipment to view its progress and estimate its arrival time. If you know that you will be unable to receive your package at your address during standard UPS delivery times, consider shipping your order to an address where someone you know can receive it.


Can I order by email or over the phone?
Overdrive Electronics does not accept orders over the phone at this time. Please submit your requests through our online ordering system.


I didn't see an order confirmation page. Was my order submitted successfully?
To check if your order was submitted successfully, Log In to your account and you will see any orders.  All successful orders are listed here with the details of the order.  If you order did not go through, the system will tell you that you have not placed any orders with us.  You may contact us and we will be happy to provide you with more information on why your order was not completed.


What is the status of my order?
To view your order's status, Log In to your account and look at your past or present orders.


How can I cancel an order?
If you need to cancel your order, please do so by emailing orders@overdriveelectronics.com.  If you want to cancel it quickly, please use our Live chat option.


My order items are now showing as Out of Stock, what happened? What do I do now?
Order Items can become backordered if multiple requests for the item are made before the system has a chance to update its available inventory, and requests exceed in-stock supply. If an item in your order is unexpectedly backordered, you will have an opportunity to cancel it. We will send you an email informing you of the timeframe in which that must be done. Please Note; backordered items are charged to your credit card at the same time as the rest of your order. If you decide to cancel the backordered item, we will credit your charge account. Please allow at least 5-10 business days for credit processing.


Why was my order cancelled?
There are two main causes of order cancellation, in addition to customer-initiated cancellation: extended backorder items and verification failure. If an item in your order has become unexpectedly backordered and we do not expect to have that product back in-stock within two weeks, we will automatically cancel the item from your order. Certain orders require verification so they may be processed further. We will send you an email within 1-2 days of processing your order to request any necessary verification. If we cannot verify your information within one week of your order date, your order will be cancelled. Overdrive Electronics reserves the right to limit or cancel orders for any reason, including protecting our customers and ourselves against fraud. Orders may be cancelled whenever there is doubt as to the accuracy, truth or validity of information supplied by shoppers. Overdrive Electronics reserves the right to request additional information for order processing purposes if necessary. You will be sent notification of your order cancellation by email.


Is your web site secure? What about the ordering process?
Our secure server uses advanced encryption and firewall technology to keep your personal information private. All information you input is encrypted through our secure server layer (SSL) software so that it cannot be read if intercepted while it travels to our ordering system. Once received, Overdrive Electronics employs strict security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of your information. We do not keep our customers credit card information on file for the safety of our customers and ourselves.


What is your privacy policy?

What are my payment options?
We accept: VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Paypal, and Google Checkout.  We also accept Purchase Orders from Businesses, Government Agencies, Educational Organizations, and Non-Profit Organizations.  You may fax your PO to 877-722-7153 or email us the PDF to orders@overdriveelectronics.com.


Do you charge sales tax?
Overdrive Electronics charges sales tax for all shipments within California, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Massachusetts.  There is no sales tax to shipments anywhere else in the United States.


Do you match competitor's prices?
Because we are confident in the competitiveness of our prices, we do not offer price adjustments or price matching.


How long will it take to receive my refund?
Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days, and all exchange items are repaired or replaced with an identical item. Overdrive Electronics will not substitute your items, or replace your item with a different or 'similar' item.


I do not have a credit card, can I still place an order?
Yes! We also accept: PayPal, which is one of the largest payment processing companies around.  You can also use Google Checkout as another option.  We accept personal checks, but processing time will be extended until the check clears.  We accept Purchase orders from certain businesses and institutions.  Please contact us about using a purchase order.


When do you charge my credit card?
Your credit card will be charged when your order is shipped.  This enables us to make sure that you are not charged for an item that is out of stock or if you want to change your order or upgrade your shipping.  This allows you to change orders up to when we start to fulfill the order.


How long does it take to get my stuff?
Items are processed and typically shipped from our warehouse within 1-2 business days. Orders before 2pm EST are typically shipped the same business day.  If there are any extra verification steps, then it may take longer to process and ship your order.  The shipping method you choose determines the additional time it will take to deliver. Orders placed Saturday or Sunday will be processed no earlier than the next business day.


How much do you charge for shipping and handling?
Shipping cost is evaluated and displayed for you on your shopping cart page, simply add your items to the cart, enter your zip code and click "Calculate Shipping Cost." Shipping fees for your order will be charged when your first item is shipped.


Why do you need to verify my order?
Certain orders require verification so they may be processed further. This is to protect you and ourselves against fraud or misuse of your personal information. If your order requires verification, we will send you an email within 1-2 days of processing your order to request verification information, we also will try to contact you via phone. If we cannot verify your information within two weeks of your order date, you will be emailed notification of your order cancellation.

Do you ship internationally?
Overdrive Electronics currently does not ship Internationally.  We only ship within the United States.


Can you ship to a different address than my billing?
Yes, we can ship your order to different shipping addresses within the United States.  Your order may require verification; to decrease the chance of delay, add your frequent shipping addresses to your credit card information by contacting your credit card agency.


Where is my tracking number?
You may check the status of your shipped and unshipped packages any time by logging in to your Overdrive Electronics account. Upon shipment, you will receive an email including your order's tracking number to view the status of your shipment while it is in transit.


Do you offer a Low Price Guarantee?
Yes, we do offer a Low Price Guarantee. If you purchase a product from our store and you find that the price was lowered within 15 days of your purchase, then you may request a refund of the difference. Please direct all Low Price Guarantee questions to service@overdriveelectronics.com and we would be happy to issue the refund to you.


Do you sell Gift Certificates?
Yes, we do sell Gift Certificates for any occasion. You can have two options for your gift certificate deliver. You can either send them to the recipient via email or you can have us send them the certificate via US mail. Either way, the recipient will enjoy great savings all the time at Overdrive Electronics.  Please Note that only one gift certificate can be used per order.  The codes cannot be combined.


Do you offer a Recycling Program?
Yes, we offer any customer a way to recycle their old electronic products. You can get your equipment appraised and see if you would like to sell it. Shipping is paid in full for your products. Start Recycling


It said there was a problem with my order, what do I do?
This happens when the billing address on your card does nto match up with what you have entered into our system. It could be the street address, zip code, or security code that could be entered incorrectly. Please check with your bank to make sure that the billing address you are entering is correct. We do accept orders with different billing and shipping addresses. If you still continue to get an order error, please contact us via Live chat or via our contact us page and we will be happy to assist you.
